Benday dot portrait
For this project, we had to create a benday self portrait inspired by Roy Lichtenstein. To do this, I started by selecting a photo of myself. Then I broke the photo up into different layers such as a layer for skin, clothes, hair, facial features, and background. I traced all of these features. Next, I recolored the skin, clothes, hat, and background using a benday dot pattern that I had made. Finally, I made a speech bubble with a vague quote in it just as Roy Lichtenstein used in his works.
Comedy Night Poster
For this assignment, George Austin asked us to put together a poster for a comedy night fundraiser. I chose to make my poster in Photoshop. I used a gradient background. In illustrator, I created a laughing mask image and then inserted it into my photoshop file. I used pictures of all three comedians and brief descriptions and also added important information about the event.
CIA Tshirt Design
Mrs. Haskell asked us to create a front and back t-shirt for the
C.I.A. (Curriculum Instruction Assessment team) which was created by the somerset schools to further expand and service curriculum. For the front of the shirt, I made a pattern with various objects related to STEAM and literacy. I placed this pattern in the acronym to show what CIA was all about. Below I put "21st Century Learning" in a ruler. For the back I illustrated mascots for each school and used the AI file for the highschool logo.

Keychain
For this assignment we were told to make a key chain that we could 3D print. I chose to make a keychain for my best friend Kayla. Because she loves dinosaurs, I used various shapes in the Tinkercad program to create a dinosaur.
Placemat
For this assignment we were asked to make a place mat for a retired faculty member's surprise 80th birthday party. For the left side of the place mat I photo-shopped the woman's face onto the raider. For the right side I decorated it with 80 in various fonts and created and 80 that looked like an old woman to be comical.
Benday T-shirt
For this project I used the same process as I had in the other benday assignment. I chose to design a tshirt with one of my favorite Disney princesses, Moana, on it. I found a picture, traced it, and broke it up into separate layers. I chose to put the dots on the belt, skin, and flowers.
